About Me

My Name Is...

My name is Laurie.  I am 43 years young.  First and foremost I am a Daughter of God.  After that I am a wife, mother, friend, and genealogist.

My Role As A Daughter of God

I take my role as a Daughter of God very seriously.  I was raised in a home with Baptist beliefs.  I currently go to a Non-Denominational Church.  I have just recently begun an online Bible study with Good Morning Girls.

My Role As A Wife

OK, so I am not married just yet, but will be in May of 2015.  I have been married before, and so has Paul.  I enjoy the time that Paul and I spend together.  I never thought I would find someone as loving and caring as he is.

My Role As A Mother

I have seven children with six living.  My sweet William went to his Heavenly Home in February of 1999.  My children range in ages from 24 to 14.  I have (including William) three daughters and four sons.  Paul has two daughters.  Paul and I are both grandparents.  I have one grandson and Paul has one grandson (deceased) and one granddaughter.

My Role As A Genalogist

I have been researching my family history for close to 30 years.  It has been a very rewarding experience learning about my ancestors.  Not only have I found out where I came from, I have been able to learn from the failures and the successes of my ancestors.  Having that information has helped me to guide my life choices.
